Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: This little house is centrally placed in Chester-le-Street, just 10 minutes walk from the railway station and 20 minutes from the County Cricket ground. It has a comfortable sitting room and a well equipped kitchen. The bathroom is spacious, and the master bedroom light and roomy. We appreciated the flexibility offered by being able to use the sofa bed. We found our host, Karen, to be extremely helpful in her communications, and we knew we could get back to her about anything we needed to ask. Despite the little misgivings mentioned below, we really loved the house and enjoyed our stay.
Negative: The second (small) bedroom has a 4 foot wide bed, which is only really suitable for one adult to sleep in - hence my being grateful for the sofa bed. The stairs are a bit steep and have no banister at the very top - which someone of limited mobility needs to be aware of. There is also no grab rail in the shower (accessed by stepping over the bath).
