Summary: Moot View is a tastefully renovated Grade II listed property situated in the ancient village of Downton in Wiltshire. It is within easy reach of the New Forest National Park, the sandy beaches of the South Coast, the world heritage site of Stonehenge and the world-renowned Salisbury Cathedral with its copy of the Magna Carta.
The Space: The house is fully furnished, tastefully decorated and fully equipped with all mod cons to make your stay restful and relaxing.
The Neighborhood: Downton has the ancient Moot Gardens literally on your doorstep, many beautiful local walks, a number of great local pubs for eating and drinking and a supermarket, pharmacy and fish and chip shop a few minutes walk away.
Getting Around: There is a bus stop literally outside the front door of the property and on-street parking available at the property.
Interaction with Guests: I am generally available via messaging at most times and live opposite, so when I am in the area I am fully available to guests.

Summary: It is a lovely cottage. We had a very nice stay. It us close to Stonehenge, Salisbury and the new forest. The kitchen was complete and everything worked. The communication with the owner was very nice. The beds were a bit small for us and a bit hard. The couch was a bit old. There is no door on the attic, but there is only one room. The door of de single bedroom still didn't close well and the bathroom also has no lock. There were more good things than bad things, so we had a good stay.

Summary: We chose this property as it slept 5 people and close to the new forest . We arrived on the Monday 18-7-22 which was the beginning of the ' Heatwave ' with record high temperatures . On entering the property , it was dark and cool which was much needed with the over 35° heat outside .
We found the property to be clean , spacious and lots of home comforts provided ( tea , coffee , milk , shower gel , shampoo , loo roll ) which was kind . The fridge in the kitchen didn't feel very cold inside ( freezer compartment worked great , the ice cubes were much needed in the heat ) , but there was another fridge at the back of the property which worked perfectly . The beds were comfortable, with fresh crisp bedding and fluffy towels for us all . The door on the single room doesn't shut completely tho .
A quirky old property with a FABULOUS fireplace . The stairs had small gaps in them , which gave the impression they were only attached by small nails , obviously they have been there many years and didn't feel unsafe . The garden was a lovely shadey outside space , which was certainly cooler than being in the sunshine .
A few small suggestions to the owner :
Instruction manual so all info about the property / area / leaflets of places to visit all kept in a handy folder could be a great go to for your guests . ( I did look but couldn't find one ) .
The water limescale was new to us , we had floaty bits in our cuppas until we worked out what the ' PURE ' tap in the kitchen was for and also descaled the kettle .
A guest book is also a good idea , as others guests could suggest pubs , walks , sights , towns to visit , places of interest .
1 last thing that I thought was good at other rentals we've stayed at is maybe a few board games, books , toys tucked away in the cupboard in the lounge for your future guests to be able to enjoy on maybe wet days or just different toys for kids to be occupied by whilst adults can sit down for a moment .
Great communication from Adam !
My family and I had a LOVELY holiday at your home , would recommend to others .
