Positive: Fabulous building, very imposing from outside. Very spacious room and balcony . Large comfortable bed. Great breakfast. Easy parking. Fantastic location.
Negative: We didn't get a good night's sleep. Air conditioning and heating system was turned off in the bedrooms. The room was uncomfortably warm. We were advised to open the balcony window. This was a particular problem when a storm blew in, waking us with curtains flapping wildly and loud rattling from the panels and furniture outside. Room security was very poor - the panels separating the balconies were held in place by non-locking clips (that rattled loudly in the wind). The door to the adjoining bedroom was not locked. Toiletries were disappointing for a 5* spa hotel. Hotel branded containers with unremarkable unbranded contents. This was not the service or facility you should expect for a room listed at €620. The spa areas were cold, dirty and disappointing. The Oceanique Spa advertises water heated to 32 degrees - but the water was very much cooler. I did not achieve any benefit from the jets as my muscles were tensed from the cold. I did not stay in the Hamman when I saw a large patch of black mould on the ceiling - looked definitely unhealthy. That area was unmanned and did not feel cared for. The pool upstairs was also chilly - in and around the pool. Few people in the water, and those on cabanas were wrapped up in bathrobes and towels It felt extremely strange to have to walk right through the middle of the dining area in slippers and bathrobe in order to access the upstairs pool area! Quite uncomfortable to have to walk back when dripping wet...
