Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: The Condo complex is nice and clean with pleasant helpful staff. There is a lady running a laundry business on the premises that does an excellent job. The pool is clean and well maintained. The AC units did a great job keeping the unit cool and comfortable. Hailing taxis at the complex entrance is an easy job and the wait time tends to be just a couple of minutes. The TV and internet were great, good connection speeds. The unit itself seemed to be in reasonable good condition.
Negative: The unit has an ant infestation. The smoke detectors were covered with shower caps for some reason presenting a possible safety hazard as they would not work in the case of a fire. People smoking or burning food in the complex were constantly setting off smoke alarms at all hours of the day and night. The towel rack in the bathroom was falling off the wall. The "Included" soap in the shower was empty. The couch is too small for a large person (6'4"). The grease trap under the sink had not been cleaned in a very long time and started overflowing onto the floor. The unit is equipped with an induction cook top but only one of the pans in the cupboard was steel and would work with the cooktop. The others were aluminum and therefore would not function. The only knife in the kitchen was completely dull. For some reason the deadbolt in the door was tapped shut and no key was provided for it, so the unit could not be properly secured when leaving for the day. There were no instructions for the clothes washer which looked to be in a rather messy condition, so I opted to use the above mentioned laundry service instead. Bed only used a bottom sheet, no top sheet provided. The mattress was obviously stained with the leftovers of some couples nighttime activities. A cleaning is in order, or at least a plastic mattress cover. I would also be helpful to indicate how to get drinking water delivered as the water provided does run out for longer term stays.
Summary: Generally satisfactory with some notable exceptions.
