Positive: The house itself was beautiful. Great location and it had the amenities we needed for our short stay. Communication was mostly okay until the day we were checking in.
Negative: There was no real security to the entrances. The doors had basic locks that can be easily picked or opened by a toddler, no extra measures of safety for guests or families with little kids. We also requested a play pen, was told yes, but there was none in the house. The garage door opener did not work. The master bathroom had a ceiling light hanging down in the shower as if mid repair. The fridge kept beeping, but the contact person was able to help with a solution. Our check in was delayed by almost 2 hours as the cleaners rushed in after 4 PM while we waited outside. Around 2:37 a text came in that check in would be at 4 instead of 3. I did not see the message until I got to the property around 3.15. So we waited outside under the impression cleaners were wrapping up. Around 4 we were given the green light to get the key from lockbox and go in. When we noticed there was no key in the lockbox we tried to contact the owner/their rep. They did not respond to text or calls for about 10 to 15 mns despite our many attempts. We knocked on the door, no one answered. It had been a long hot day, we had a baby and a toddler in the car with 3 elderly adults, so we needed to get in and settle down. As we sat there, we see the cleaners drive by and rush in. Then someone (he had the keys and opened the door for the cleaners) opens the garage and drives out Then I get a text that they needed an extra 15 mns. We finally got in close to 4:45. They did accommodate us by allowing us to check out 1 hour after the standard time. The plates were dripping wet in the cabinets, very likely from the rush to clean as we waited.
