Positive: A gorgeous apartment with rooftop terrace overlooking gardens in a perfect location in Amsterdam — a pleasant walk to the museum district, to the concert hall, to Vondel Park, and to the Jordaan neighborhood. it is quiet and peaceful but just a short walk from the tram line to the Central Station making it easy to day trip to Delft and the Hague. This beautiful space is what Van Gogh’s room would be like if he decided to add luxury to simplicity. The interior design is wonderfully done — it has everything you to need in a home all cleverly hidden so the room has a spacious, harmonious feeling. The owner Frank is a very good host and has thought of many details to make your stay pleasant. There are umbrellas by the front door, an excellent coffee machine and luxury bath products. The bed is very comfortable and the whole place is meticulously clean. We especially enjoyed sitting on the rooftop terrace and watching the birds and local cats in the pretty backyard gardens. There is a typically steep Dutch canal house staircase but the owner can help with your bag. However if you are truly mobility limited, this is not for you..

Negative: loved everything except the steep stairs.

Summary: This is a little slice of heaven in a perfect location in picturesque Amsterdam
