Positive: We would highly recommend the Guest House if you like the idea of a lovely authentic chalet nestled in a small village in the mountains. Quiet seclusion, no bustle or noise, skiing the traditional way, departing each day for a different mountain. (You really should have a car, otherwise you're walking 10-15 minutes to gondola in Vallorcine.) The hosts, Helen and Steve, (speak fluent English and French ...and Swedish presumably!) make you feel very welcome and gave excellent recommendations for restaurants. The breakfast is superb, and Helen is attentive to each guest’s needs. The communal room has a very warm and cosy atmosphere with a wood burner and comfy sofas. Our room was very comfortable, with a large bed and private bathroom next door. (Other rooms had en suite showers). Definitely would go back.
