• You have the entire villa and grounds to yourself. There is someone on hand locally (who speaks both Italian and English) if needed, but otherwise you will be undisturbed.
The area
This is the former house of the town Notary set on the outskirts of the medieval, market-town of Fivizzano. It is in an area of Tuscany called Lunigiana - which is famous for it's hiking trails, numerous castles and stunning hill top villages. The Italian Riviera is only 40 minutes drive away - where you'll find Lerici, Porto Venere and access to the UNESCO listed Cinque Terre.
Bedrooms
There are 5 bright, spacious bedrooms with beautiful views. 4 on the top floor, and 1 on the floor below. Each bedroom is furnished with bedside tables and lamps - and comes equipped with towels and fresh linen. There are hooks to hang things on, but there are currently no chests of drawers or wardrobes.
Bathrooms
There are 2 good sized bathrooms - one situated on the top floor with a bath and shower, and the one below with a shower.
Dining Room
The dining room (situated off the lounge area) is very spacious and comes equipped with a 10 seater dining table - perfect for a group dinner.
Lounge
The lounge has beautiful views over the town - with a large, comfy wrap-around sofa and a striking, original marble fireplace. There is a 55" TV with Netflix, Amazon Prime, Apple TV and Disney+ available to watch. There are also Sonos speakers here and in the kitchen.
Kitchen
The kitchen is a good size and comes equipped with everything you'll need.
Aircon
There is no aircon at the villa - however as this area is 300m above sea level it is cool enough at night not to need it. There are however fans in each of the bedrooms.
Garden
The house is set within a large, beautiful, landscaped garden - containing fruit & olive trees, palms and a range of mature plants. A long driveway takes you from the ornate gates to the house. In front of the house, a large sweeping set of steps takes you to another gate which the house can be accessed from. We have a gardener who visits regularly keeping it well tended.

Guests have access to the whole house - except the basement which is just used for storage.
