Summary: I want to leave a real review as every other I see is just “oh it wasn’t clean” or has no description to the review. We booked for South Shields but upon sending a photo of my ID and sending £50 (as damage and misconduct insurance that you get back as long as you follow the rules) I got a phone call to say the property we were supposed to stay in has been damaged and is missing a whole window pane. They said they have somewhere in Sunderland. After discussing with the person I’m travelling with we decided that was fine, just 20 more minutes of driving. We were given the location, door code and combination for our individual door key. We were told that there’s free parking on the road outside but there wasn’t. Driving behind the building by a car wash is where we actually parked. Entered the building and walked in. Part of the message telling us the door code and other stuff also said don’t leave clothes or other belonging anywhere but your own room. The other guests here didn’t adhere to that as clothes were my first sight after looking up the stairs. We entered our room and it was decent. A double bed, a sofa and a tv. The bed isn’t amazingly comfortable if you just sit on but it works perfectly fine with your body across it when you’re asleep. I did find a cotton bud and toilet paper on the floor but it was in a corner at the back of the bed so I don’t blame the cleaners for that. Anyway character limit, I don’t blame the company all problems are due to other guests.
