Positive: The hotel is a restored former residence belonging to an ancient high ranking lama. Set within the old neighborhood of Lhasa it gives you a real Tibetan experience. All the rooms are large, colorful, with a grotto like bathroom and plenty of seating areas. The roof terrace of the hotel gives you a wonderful view of the surrounding mountains and the Potala palace which is lit up at night.

Negative: One of the beds was too hard to comfortably sleep on. It was rather warm outside so we solved it by sleeping on top of the duvet.

Summary: The hotel gives you a real Tibetan experience. Location is wonderful.
