No Cornish holiday is complete without a beach day, so head down to the golden sands of Pendower Beach (3 miles), Portloe (5 miles) or Portscatho (5.5 miles), where you can also join the famous South West Coast Path for memorable walks. For fine dining and dog-friendly restaurants, head to the vibrant fishing village of St Mawes (8 miles) or for a change of pace head to Truro (12 miles), Cornwall’s capital and discover a wide range of shops, shows, galleries, places to eat and it's spectacular Cathedral. Further up the A30 is the wonderful Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan, both a great day out.
