Positive: Beautiful place, very well maintained. Great central location for exploring the Minho region. The pool area is fantastic and on hot summer days it doubles the value of this accommodation. The pool is shared between two guest houses, but it's very spacious so that is not a big problem. The house we stayed in is very spacious and has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It also has a fully functional kitchen with dishwasher and all kinds of appliances. The hosts are a very friendly family. They live in a third house in the same property, but they made sure to stay out of our way, unless needed. They also encouraged us to make our selves at home in the property - for example, they encouraged us to explore the property, pick fruit from the several trees and even brought us a bucket full of oranges. Definitely a place to return to.
Negative: The only improvement points I can think of are: - the spring mattress in my bedroom could be more comfortable in my opinion. Of course this depends on personal taste. - I would add an extra couple of parasols (guarda-sois) to the swimming pool area. - The dining area in the house is a bit on the dark side, because of the original configuration of the house which does not have many windows. That's hard to avoid, but maybe something could be done with the lighting? - Having breakfast delivered in the morning would have made our stay even more perfect, but I understand that this might not make sense logistically. These would be just improvements. None of these are dealbreakers, since we would be vey happy to return.
Summary: Great stay, chilling by the pool while listening to the sounds of the countryside.
