Lovely chalet in the middle of the Swiss Alps | House in Gryon

Chalet 'Le Cairn' is a brand new renovated cottage, located in the Swiss Alps Not far from Lake Geneva.
The cottage has stunning views and is within walking distance to everything you need on a vacation in the mountains. In winter you can ski directly to the cabin and there are only 400 m to the lift. The local train station, tourist information, bakery, small supermarket, ski rental, restaurant and super playground are only 200m from the cottage by a small path.
There is a lift both in winter and summer. In the winter season you can reach up to 220 km of slopes. There are slopes of all levels of difficulty, and it is an ideal holiday destination for families. There are snow parks for children, where it is ideal and safe to start their 'skiing life' from. Children up to 9 years old have free lift passes in the area.
In summer there are countless beautiful walks, mountain bike tours and an 18 hole golf course with magnificent views. There is free access to the lift system, local buses and mountain railways, as well as tennis courts, swimming pools, minigolf m .. Cable car, tennis courts and miniature golf are only 5-10 minutes walk from the cabin.
Le Cairn
The cottage is completely renovated. Completion was completed in December 2013.
There are 4 bedrooms spread over 3 floors. On the ground floor and on the first floor there is a bathroom and two bedrooms on each floor. 2nd floor is more like a loft decorated with workplace.
There is a fast internet connection and laundry room.
The cabin is best suited for 6-8 people.
In the ground floor there are:
2 bedrooms both furnished with a double bed, which has beautiful views from both rooms. There is a bathroom with shower and a small room with washer and dryer.
On the 1st floor there are:
One bedroom with a double bed also here is a great view from. On the downside there is a room with a good bunk bed (bed width 90 cm).
There is a cozy living room with open fireplace, open fireplace and dining area. There is open to the kitchen which is very well equipped with all i can think of using in a kitchen and of course with dishwasher, microwave oven coffee machine, nespresso machine etc.
From the living room there is a staircase up to an open loft.
The living room and three of the rooms are south / southeast vent, there is an alten, a wooden room with room for everyone to eat and a lovely smaller garden where you can also enjoy the view.
WINTER
Villars / Gryon
The chalet is 200 m from where the piste ends in Gryon / Barboleuse. If you are a skier, you can continue the last 200m on a smaller path.
The lift, 400 m from the cabin, connects one to the 220 km ski terrain Villars / Gryon / Diablerets.
There are also approx. 50 km of beautiful cross country skiing trails, snow shoe routes, one of Switzerland's longest toboggan runs and hiking routes. All in all a winter mecca.
There is a smaller skating rink 200m from the cabin, and there are also ski hire, bakery, tourist information, restaurants and a small supermarket. Otherwise you can go for a walk (about 1 km) down to a really nice authentic mountain village.
Here are several restaurants and smaller shops.
If you want a slightly larger selection of shops and restorations, you can go to Villars-sur-Allon approx. 4 km away. This is a more mouth-watering and touristy mountain village, but still nice. Here you can also take the train in the same ski area as the cabin or you can stay in the town where there is a free ski area for beginners and children and there is even a ski garden.

Summer
Villars / Gryon is a small paradise in the summer with plenty of opportunities for activities.
There are countless beautiful walks that start right from the cottage's garden. There are mountain bike tours and an 18 hole golf course with magnificent views. There is free access to cable cars, local buses and mountain railways, as well as tennis courts, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, miniature golf m. Cable car, tennis courts and miniature golf are available 5-10 minutes walk from the cottage.
If you want to get up faster you can walk 400 m to where the cable car starts. From the top you can walk beautiful panoramic walks. There are walks of all levels. It is a very good area with children as you can take the small train or cable car up and avoid the big hikes. From here you can choose paths without wild landing near the path. But if you want bigger challenges, you can also get it. If you choose such tours, check the weather forecast carefully, as some of the routes are not recommended in wet weather. You can always walk past the tourist office, which is 5 min from the cabin, and get advice on tours.
If you take a little down the mountain, there are also many amazing walks to take. The vineyards start before you are down in the Rhône Valley, and there are a myriad of fine little villages where local wine is produced. It is a 30-minute drive to Lake Geneva. Montreux. Vevey and Lausanne are all nice towns to visit. If you arrive late in the summer it is possible to participate in the wine festivals and wine tasting in the villages in the area. There are a host of music festivals throughout the summer, where the Montreux jazz festival is the most famous.
If you're into pure pleasure, there are beautiful thermal baths with water from hot springs.

Gryon is located 125 km from Geneva. There is a direct airplane with Easy jet at great prices from Copenhagen and in the winter Norwegian also has flights to Geneva, they also fly from Billund and Aalborg, still over Kbh.
From Geneva airport it is possible to take the train up to the cabin The train stops just 5 mins walk by a small trail, from the cottage. You take the train from Geneva airport to Bex and switch to a small train ride (a beautiful ride) to the little station Barbolouse / Gryon the ride from the airport to the cabin takes a total of 2 hours.
Of course it is also possible to drive the 1300km from Denmark, or take the night train to Basel with or without a car.
