Summary: I have mixed feelings about our stay at this hotel. Let’s start with the positives: The location is excellent—very close to the Aiguille du Midi cable car, which is a must if you’re visiting Chamonix. The staff were friendly and gave us helpful advice on how to plan our time in town, especially around the time-specific Aiguille du Midi reservation. They helped us book our tickets and also recommended the two-day lift pass, which I highly suggest if you’re staying for more than one day. It gives you access to all the gondolas, and it was super convenient to pay for it right at the reception. I also appreciated the cold water stations on both sides of the hotel—great for filling up your bottle before heading out for the day. The hotel has two restaurants and the breakfast had a good variety, though I wish they offered freshly made fried eggs or omelets. Now for the downsides: While the room was clean, the carpet under the bed looked old and not very well maintained. Our biggest issue was the heat—there was no air conditioning, just a fan, and during a heatwave, that really affected our sleep. When I asked, they told me none of the rooms have AC, which might be something to consider depending on the time of year you’re visiting. The spa was just okay. Unfortunately, we saw several guests walking in with their shoes on, which made the area dirty, and no staff seemed to be supervising or enforcing any rules during our visit.
