Summary: The location was good - it was near good food, gas, and a reasonable drive into DC for sightseeing. But it wasn't very comfortable. The bed was hard a a rock. The place felt overall a bit grimy. We couldn't get more towels unless we brought a wet towel to the desk to swap it out - even though they did not provide enough towels for the number of people in our party. The key card would not open hallway doors, so we had to go back to the desk to reprogram everytime we left our room. The kitchen suite had no cups/plates/utensils, etc. unless you went to the desk to ask for them. The room felt very dark and the five pieces of 'art' on the walls were all mismatched and did not look like they belonged together. This is minor, but it speaks to the quality and cohesiveness of the hotel overall. The furniture in the living space in our room was not comfortable at all and after a day of sightseeing, I dreaded coming back because I knew it wouldn't be restful. For a room that sleeps six, there was not adequate seating for six in the room. I don't usually choose ESA hotels because the morning food offerings are wholly inadequate. After this stay I was reminded why I should continue to avoid this chain of hotel. On the whole, we were provided safe shelter for the night, but I definitely did not sleep well for two nights and did not leave feeling refreshed.
