Positive: Casa Verde Mare is situated high up on a cliffside with a stunning view of the Tyrrhenian Sea below; the nearest beach is 5 minutes by car, the local town of Castel di Tusa 10 minutes and the entrance to the Palermo/Messina motorway about 15 minutes; there is also a regular train service along the coast from Tusa to Palermo. The property comes with a small swimming pool (very necessary in the summer heat), a large covered patio with comfy sofas and other places for sitting and relaxing so that there is privacy as well, a separate laundry, and the surrounding olive and fruit trees add to the rustic feel. Ideal for couples but with two bedrooms a place for families too. We did not use the barbecue but there is that as well.
Negative: Visitors should be aware that Tusa is well over two hours by car or train from major sightseeing centres such as Taormina and the Valley of the Temples, although just 30 minutes from beautiful Cefalu and about 90 minutes from Palermo, and if you were staying more centrally you would be paying a lot more for accommodation of this quality. If you are renting a car (and you will almost certainly need one), take care with the stony road up to the property and back roads generally in Sicily. The WiFi connection is usually lost outside the house.
