Positive: We stayed at Casa Da Lena for 9 days. It was a wonderful experience! Things we (couple in 30-ies, with car) loved here: — Solitude and calmness. No neighbours we could see or hear. We were not bothered by anyone. It’s far from main road so no car sounds mostly (some car would pass on small road nearby but rarely, and it’s still in distance) — Spaciousness. For 2 people it’s more than enough space. It’s ideal for 3 friends (3 bedrooms) or couple with 1-2 kids — there is 1 double bed and 2 small beds in separate rooms. We unpacked in main room, left some things in other rooms so that bedroom would be not cluttered with our luggage. — Great for cooking. There’s a separate room for cooking and separate place for eating. We are picky with food so we were doing all our meals in house. There were tea, salt, sugar, vinegar, was lacking some other basic things like pepper, baking sheets/foil, oil. However, cooking appliances were plenty - pans, bowls, big and small, tools for baking, very good oven and microwave, and stovetop. Fully suitable for us to cook as at home. There was oven outside as well but we didn’t use it. There was a dishwasher but we didn’t spot capsules for it, so washed by hand — which was not a problem, as the sink was big, convenient. — Territory. It has own garden with beautiful flowers. Territory is in front of house and from back as well — it’s surrounding house. Minimum 2 places to eat outside - in shadow and on the sun. We were enjoying eating outside! Also few spots without table to sit - few benches and sofas. Many different flowers. Forest nearby. Beautiful! Also big territory adds to the reeking of spaciousness — Atmosphere. House is nicely decorated, a lot of attention to detail. I felt like in a museum in each room. I felt older vibe which was refreshing, considering nowadays a lot of modern places I've been at look the same (standard tables, set of plates, boring print on a wall, all from ikea). Here the experience was not same!
Negative: Lack of air conditioning in bedroom. I was quite comfy with temperature but my partner wanted a cooler temperature for sleep, and we couldn't open windows because wind made window frames and door move and produce noice through which it was not possible to fall asleep for us. We would open windows before sleep to ventilate, that helped a bit but not for whole night.
