Positive: Stephanie was very helpful during our stay. On request, we were provided with a jug of fresh milk for the fridge in our room, which made a really nice change from the usual long life creamer capsules we had been provided with, when requesting milk previously, at the far more expensive Disneyland hotel we had stayed at during this trip to Paris. The food in the restaurant was good and the drinks were very reasonably priced. We arrived for our meal early so, although we could have gone to our table straight away, either inside or outside, decided to have a drink beforehand - there are a number of places to sit in the bar or on the terrace for drinks. The hotel is situated in a lovely spot by the river opposite the locks, where there are places to sit and watch the river boats and commercial vessels make their passage through the lock gates. It is also only a 10 minute walk from the train station either along the river bank or through the town. The day after our arrival the town was packed as there was a Bank Holiday street market taking place, which was an added unexpected bonus. I would definitely stay at this hotel again, rather than in central Paris, as L'Isle Adam is only a 50 minute or so cheap train ride from Gare du Nord on the H line, so making Paris an easy day trip.
Negative: There were only two slight downsides. The the first night and in the morning there was a lot of slamming shut of nearby bedroom doors - I suspect from guests staying overnight who attended the private party going on in the restaurant downstairs. Not the hotel's fault but why guests can't be more considerate of those staying in adjacent or opposite rooms, is beyond me. So, please if you are reading this review, whether or not you are staying at this hotel, don't open your bedroom door and just walk away letting the door slam shut - have the decency to close it quietly. We had no such problems during our 2nd night's stay. Aside from the above, although all the staff were helpful and polite, we did find the service in the restaurant to be a bit slow, which is something a few other guests have also commented on.
