Summary: Amazing location and probably the best hotel in the area. But it wants to be high end and doesn’t hit the mark. It needs more attention to detail (bins not emptied, bed throws smelt damp, rooms were cold, only one hairdryer for the whole place, food inconsistent in quality). Staff are pleasant and try hard but not quite on it re service levels. The reception and restaurant area are nicely designed but would benefit from some homely touches eg blankets & heaters for the cool evenings and mornings. Breakfasts were good. Bring your own binoculars for the bird life.
