Enjoy the farm setting & animals around or even bring your own horse! Only 4 miles to Grayson Hughlands State Park (with amazing views, home to wild ponies too) home parts of The Appalachian Trail or experience The New River. We are centrally locates for outdoor adventure as well as just sitting back & relaxing!
Love Horses? This is the spot for you! Come enjoy horses all around your space on the farm. Rental rides nearby that can take you across the beautiful scenery at Grayson Highlands State Park. Or...have your own horse?! Bring it! We have overnight horse accommodations and you can ride the mountain until your heart’s content!
We had fun designing this second story Barn Loft apartment. We keep comfort and use-ability forefront with tasteful touches mixing modern and rustic throughout the space.
Enjoy the full kitchen equipped with all the basics for your cooking needs. The breakfast bar is locally sourced Ambrosia Maple Wood Slabs outlined with stone and rustic tin roofing. This adjoins the computer nook with WiFi (slow but available), USB plugs and computer chair.
The kitchen table area joins into the open living room where the queen sleeper sofa and kitchen table look out across your private deck to views of the farm...it’s barns, pastures and animals right out the sliding glass doors. There is also a TV and Roku for your entertainment (sorry no tv channels but also note the internet providing streaming is satellite and buffers a bit) or bring an hdmi cord and stream from your computer or DVD player .
The living/dining area is open and joins the sleeping area boasting a comfortable King Tempurpedic Memory Foam Mattress atop a gorgeous handmade wooden bedframe.
There is a private toilet/sink area with two pocket doors and a separate bathroom with double sink Wormy Chestnut Vanity and custom tin lined open shower.
Wether you want a comfortable easy overnight after a full day hiking/biking/riding etc or if you just want a quaint locale to take a step aside from the rat race and take a breath of fresh farm air, watch the baby goats play, horses graze peacefully all while you sip a cup of coffee or read your favorite book on the private deck while taking in the views and breezes....this “Barn Loft” is sure to fulfil your needs.

*Pet Friendly* with prior approval and per night pet fee. Please note that your pet must be leashes at all times outside the apartment and cannot run loose on the farm.
*NOTE* This is a private apartment however if you have multiple couples/families but still want your own space - this apartment can opened up to include our other rental `the Upper Deck Apartment (sleeps 4-6) which can also connect to another `The Crowsnest Apartment` (sleeps 4-6)
Guests are welcome to walk any gravel pathways on the farm and visit animals and scenery. Note that al fencing may have an electric fence portion. Do not feed any animals without asking. And do not open any gates or enter any barn or paddock without permission
I live on the property, as well as another couple that live on the property. We are available for your needs but leave you to enjoy your vacation as you may wish
We are nearby Grayson Highlands State Park, Whitetop Mountain, The New River Trail, The Virginia Creeper Trail, The Blue Ridge Parkway among many other close by destinations

**PETS** Please note that pets are allowed on a per-night-per-pet-fee basis (airbnb doesn`t have an option for us to list a per night fee for pets. We feel its unfair for us to list a `Per stay` fee like they want, as a guest staying 2 nights should pay less of a pet fee than guests staying more like 7-10 nights etc. Please just please bring your $15/per pet per night fee with you and leave it on the counter when you depart. We hope you understand and we look forward to hosting you and your fur-baby). Male pets MUST be Neutered. Dogs only (cats, birds and other pets considered with pre-approval). Thank you!
Though your apartment is private, it is within a barn structure with several other living/guests areas. Please be respectful of “Quiet Time” from 10pm to 7am
To help us keep costs and fees down please be mindful of leaving on excessive lights on when you are gone from the rental.
Check-out: please wash your dishes, bag your trash and strip the linens.
We also have Overnight Stalls in the barn structure and you can BRING YOUR OWN HORSE (for additional fee) - or there are Horse Rental Rides nearby.
There is designated parking at the end of the barn.
