Jeff and Debbie welcome you to spend some time as their guests at their Villa Almendricos in Spain where you will stay at Rico's Retreat a beautifully presented one double bedroom annex for 2 people. Situated in a quiet rural location with breathtaking mountain views. The accommodation is fully equipped and totally self contained, and has a fully fitted and equipped open plan kitchen/diner/lounge with L shaped chaise lounge sofa, UK and Spanish TV and the large master bedroom with a super king size bed, with full wall built in wardrobes, plus bathroom with shower and his and hers wash basins. We are situated in one of the warmest and driest parts of Spain where on average we enjoy 320 days of sunshine a year making this an ideal all year round destination, with hot summers and warm winters.
Your holiday rental in Spain is at Rico's Retreat in a quiet rural location with great views, ideal for those wanting to escape the crowds and city. It is good for cycling or walking and yet only 10 minutes to the local village of Almendricos which has a medical centre, a few bars and a small supermarket. Or just 15 minutes to the town of Puerto Lumbreras, with its Historic Medina Cuavas which is situated just off the A7 Autovia del Mediterraneo, and has all the shops, supermarkets, bars and restaurants required, and if you want the beautiful coast we are only about half an hour away from the beautiful Costa Calida, and the traditional Spanish seaside town of Aguilas with its numerous blue flag beaches and secluded coves, port and marina. And San Juan de los Terreros, Almería, Spain with its blue flag beaches and weekly markets. For those of you wanting a little history then the major towns of Lorca or Cartagena are an easy drive away, and perfect places to spend a day sightseeing, with their castles and museums.
The accommodation is fully self contained, and you can come and go as you please, and you also have access to the large secure gardens surrounding the villa, plus use of the swimming pool in season. If staying in for the day then you can enjoy lounging in the sun by the pool and enjoying the fabulous views of the surrounding mountains.
Please note our Villa is situated in an agricultural region and is therefore surrounded by farming activities, and fields growing mainly oranges and a variety of other produce, with some livestock including sheep, goats and cattle in the area. Own transport is advisable or Jeff can offer a pick up and drop off service for Backpackers etc
