Positive: The hotel is well designed, modern. The staff is super friendly, always helpful and great hosts - I think the staff is really the biggest asset of this hotel! The beach which is a is really relaxing and has an amazing view of the lake. Our room was clean, housekeeping was also good. Dinner was good, breakfast also. I think it is one of the best options in Pörtschach, but…
Negative: 1) The rooms need a remodel - they feel old with dated furniture and carpet floors. The rest of the hotel is very modern, so this felt weird and a missmatch. 2) I booked a room with “lake view”. What I got was a terrace room on the ground floor with barely any view. I then went to the reception and the gave me a different room with a nice view in the 2nd floor (thank you), but this should not have been neccessary in the first place. 3) People were smoking on the balcony next to us until 10.30pm, and thus it was unpleasant to stay on the balcony. It is 2025 - get a smoking ban! 4) The restaurant “Jilly Beach” is beautiful but wayyy overpriced. It is not really part of the hotel, but owned by the same family. So it is a great place to dine (probably one of the nicest in town) but for 2 people with 1 starter and 2 main courses +130€ felt like a scam.
