Positive: Location is great, provides tranquility. Rooms were great
Negative: The bigger problem was with management. We used the washing machine twice for our laundry, and were only afterwards told by lady who manages the place that this incurred a fee. When we asked for clarification, we were told this had been explained to us upfront — it hadn’t. The conversation then shifted, unprompted, to an accusation that we weren’t separating our garbage correctly, and an implication that we didn’t respect the environment or “the philosophy of the island.” As supposed evidence, we were told that other guests (who happened to be Italian) had been informed of the rules and managed fine — as if nationality were somehow relevant, or other guests never make mistakes. As if we don’t recycle where we live. We’d simply run two separate laundry loads (whites and colours), which was apparently considered excessive and something the manager felt we needed to be “taught a lesson” about. This left a real sour note on what had otherwise been a good stay. A lovely location deserves management that communicates clearly and treats guests with basic respect. We asked for invoice for the payment, nothing provided yet.
