Located just outside of Joshua Tree, this compound is perched on a bluff overlooking joshua trees everywhere below and all around, with panoramic views from every angle. If you are interested in getting away from it all in style, then this might just be the place for you.
This is the personal home of a nature-loving designer who built it as her personal getaway from her busy hectic schedule and a silent place to do creative writing.
Stripped down to its bare aluminium studs, the home has been redesigned into a larger space with a corner and wall of large frameless glass panels that slide open to a huge patio deck with unrivalled views of the pristine mountains rolling down into largest canyon in the area, devoured in wild cacti and thousands of Joshua trees.
There's one king bed in master, a queen bed in guest room. We have three separate bathrooms (one outdoor overlooking the view) with complete privacy and stunning views. Outdoor shower is finished in high-end terrazzo and two indoor showers are finished in moroccan tadelakt.
Six large frameless glass panels allow plenty of light and access to the main reason you’ve booked this rental: the views. A large deck and shaded pergola provide ample outdoor living space and a place to chill and enjoy the scenery.
But whatever you do, make sure not to miss the incredible sunsets off the deck. At night, watch the milky way stream across the sky and count the constellations above. And if the wind is right, listen to the sounds of crickets and coyotes down the canyon or even the falcons sweeping in the skies at eye level across the canyon.
There is wireless internet at the home, but it's not the extreme speed you're used to in the big city. So be prepared to try being disconnected from the world entirely for your stay.
