I rent cozy furnished bedrooms in Pocitos Nuevo, one of the best residential neighborhoods in Montevideo, on the top floor of a well-decorated, Mediterranean-style family home. In addition to three single bedrooms, the upper floor has a full bathroom and a living room shared with the other two guests, which includes a microwave, refrigerator with freezer, and cable TV.
In addition there is a bedroom in the front yard, with a separate entrance and a private bathroom.
The rent includes all services (internet, electricity, heating and water). We provide bed linen and towels, which are changed biweekly or when necessary. There is a clothes washer for free use in the courtyard and weekly cleaning service (also included in the rent). Guests can use the kitchen as much as they want, at reasonable times and as long as they wash the utensils they use. The rent is paid within the first 5 days of each month. The rooms are ideal for students or temporary visitors.
The neighborhood is quiet and very safe, with frequent transportation in all directions (30 minutes to the Center or the Old City, 15 minutes to Parque Rodó and Punta Carretas). Pocitos beach is a 10-minute walk away. Guests will find all the services they may need at the Montevideo Shopping Center, just 3 blocks from the house.
Pets are not allowed, but there is a German Shepherd dog.
About me and my family: I am Lorenzo, a calm and sociable person, a retired businessman, with three adult children: the two oldest working in the United States and the youngest working as a psychologist in Montevideo.
If you are interested in any of the bedrooms, you can write to Gloria, my ex-wife, who is in charge of reservations and, in general, of receiving guests. Please tell him something about yourselves (where you are from, your age, what you come to do in Montevideo, etc.) This IS VERY IMPORTANT and we don't ask it out of curiosity, but to keep the good vibes between the guests and with us.
It is the largest bedroom of the three on the top floor. It has two windows with the best orientation, north and west.
