This cozy three-bedroom, three-bath home is aptly named, for it truly is a retreat. Conveniently located just off the famous Blue Ridge Parkway and only minutes from downtown Blowing Rock, you don't need to choose between a day of shopping downtown and a scenic hike.
When you enter the front door, you walk into a large open-plan living room and kitchen with cathedral ceilings and tons of natural light. The recently renovated kitchen offers granite countertops, an island with seating and new stainless steel appliances. Just steps from the kitchen is a large deck with a propane grill, and outdoor seating to enjoy those long summer nights.
On the main floor down the hallway, you'll find two bedrooms, a queen bedroom with ensuite bathroom. You'll also find a bedroom with two twin beds and jack and jill bathroom.
Upstairs, you'll find a cozy reading nook that overlooks the living room. You'll also find the large King master bedroom and attached ensuite. With a double vanity and stone tiled shower, it feels like a true oasis.
The lower level of the home contains a large game room, with two bunk beds for all your guests. With a card table, TV, and ping pong table just steps away in the garage, it's the perfect hideout for all the kids in your group.
The true adventure begins in the large backyard at Parkway Retreat. With a small bubbling creek alongside the stone firepit, you'll find yourself drawn to the beauty of the Blue Ridge nature abound. With a large treehouse, there is no shortage of fun to be had!
Additional Notes:.
- This is a pet-friendly home. Maximum of two dogs allowed. Pet rent is $25/nt per pet.
- Treehouse is for children only, and parental supervision is required.
-Check In is after 4pm. Check Out is by 10am.
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided
- Must electronically sign an additional Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions and any Neighborhood Rules sent by Host (property manager) or entry information cannot be sent.
- Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates.
- No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home.
- Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook.
- No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable.
- 4WD/AWD and/or chains recommended during winter (Nov-March) for all homes. Travelers visiting during the winter months where inclement weather may be possible should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle, and chains may also be required if it snows. No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement. Firewood may be purchased at the time of booking, or by calling us with a week's notice. You receive two wrapped, kiln-dried bundles and a firestarter for $25 plus tax.
CANCELLATION POLICY - Bookings canceled 60+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled between 31-59 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit. Bookings canceled within 30 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
