Summary: This is an older hotel which is currently under renovation. Being an older beachfront hotel, our room, which faced the beach, was definitely getting a little rough around the edges and smelled musty. There were still piles of sand around the edges of the room which housekeeping missed. The gym, spa, and other services were closed due to the renovations which didn’t keep the hotel from charging us a daily “resort fee” and a daily “parking fee” on top of an average $700 per night fee for a beach front room (in the winter no less). The staff was professional and very nice, but aside from the free coffee in the lobby, the great location, and nice view there was little to justify the expense for what amounted to a “run of the mill” hotel experience.
