Positive: Central location and a large, spacious and airy apartment with 2 bedrooms and a large lounge and kitchen area, clean and tidy with constant hot water, a good range of cooking utensils and crockery

Negative: ECRU PROPERTY MANAGEMENT company who were responsible for sending the incorrect main door access key codes, this resulted in us being locked out from the property on our 9pm arrival. The ECRU contact telephone number was out of office hours so with only an answer machine directing any caller's to the online message (stated as a 24hour help desk but with no response received at all to any of the 6 frantic email messages sent to them!!) we were left with no choice after being sat in a nearby café until 11:50pm but to go out on foot searching for any available hotel rooms, (we eventually had luck after walking the streets until 1am and unfortunately had to pay an inflated 'walk-up' room rate of £100 for the 1 night in a twin room!) I had specified on all of our ever more frantic messages to ECRU that we are an 85 year old infirm couple, to their apparent lack of any concern for our dilemma!! It was 11am the following day before 'ANTHONY' at ECRU replied with a cursory apology message (no phone calls in spite of my request that he ring me) and the explanation that "I don't know what went wrong with the door access code (it's quite simple pal IT WAS WRONG! so their human error!!) and issued a new one, which once we trekked back to the booked apartment to check it, of course worked straight away and did so for the remaining 4 nights of our stay! I am now pursuing this matter thro Booking.com who advised me to write this review whilst we await the outcome of our claim for a minimum of that 1 night lost stay refund. Ideally they should pay us the full £100 extra we paid for our emergency hotel stay for the night. To date, 7 days since this diabolical dilemma occurred, ECRU PROPERTY Mgmt. has not made any response to our claim m through their office. Only a further email from 'ANTHONY' to say it has been passed in ( to whom? Where? ...the proverbial 'Buck' I assume!!

Summary: Don't risk booking any of the Gdansk or Warsaw properties advertised by ECRU PROPERTY MANAGEMENT Co
