Summary: I was a little sceptical at first as we usually stay on the east coast and in over 20 years of visiting this would be my first stay in the San An area (it’s improved a lot over the years, and it’s actually in a different neighbourhood). We didn’t regret it. We booked a superior double, which for us was a little basic (no fridge) and had views over an apartment block over the back. We spoke to reception and paid for an upgrade to a junior suite overlooking the main pool. From then everything was fantastic. The room, service, the food is all great. The decor is magnificent also with a focus on modern art. It’s located in a quiet neighbourhood close by to some beautiful secluded beaches. The speaker in the room absolutely thumps as well 😂 It was a toss up between here and the standard, we definitely made the right choice. This may be our new favourite.
