Travel Purpose: business
Positive: The location was excellent, and the bed was very comfortable. I really appreciated the use of natural spring water on the property. It made the pool water feel very clean and refreshing, and the shower water was great as well. The Filipino staff were very friendly and welcoming. This has been our experience throughout the Philippines, and it was true here as well.
Negative: Our stay was not as relaxing as we had hoped due to ongoing remodeling construction, as well as general property maintenance noise throughout the day. The beach lounge chairs were usable but quite old and did not match the appearance shown in the photos. The rooftop seating area was dirty and run down, so we chose not to use it. The exterior lights outside our room were extremely bright at night, making it feel like daylight. We did notify the hotel, and only one night were the lights turned off. The hotel provides drinking water in the room (since sink water is not recommended), but only in small amounts, and guests are expected to refill it at the bar, which was inconvenient, especially overnight. The restaurant was disappointing. One evening we waited nearly 1.5 hours for food, so we chose to eat elsewhere for the rest of our stay. Breakfast was included and acceptable, but there was little consistency even when ordering the same items each morning. We were a group of 9 people staying in 5 rooms, and this was the general experience across our group. The property has two pools, but only one is available for general use, as the other is reserved for diving. The photos online give a different impression.
Summary: The bed was nice but we wouldn't recommend this hotel and we wouldn't stay here again.
