Positive: Beautiful location in the vineyards and the terrace is absolutely lovely.

Negative: Unfortunately, a few things made our stay not as comfortable as we hoped. We booked Le Micocoulier because it had two bathrooms which suited the makeup of our group. On arrival, we discovered one shower was out of order and there was just a note on the door saying it was broken. We imagined this had only just happened and that it would be fixed during our stay, however, this was not the case and we had to make do with one shower off the master bedroom. Additionally, we informed the owner that due to high temperatures (27 at night at its highest), we were unable to sleep and asked whether there were any fans available. We received a response saying there was one in the closet. I informed the owner that there was no fan in the closet but they simply didn't reply and dropped out of the conversation. Even if there had been one fan, that would have left one bedroom with no cooling whatsoever. We had to purchase our own fans in order to be able to sleep. I think it's a fair enough requirement to be able to sleep when one is away on holiday. Everywhere else we have stayed has provided them if there isn't AC. Finally, I'm afraid other residents at St Martial made us feel unwelcome and we were left thinking that perhaps we weren't allowed to be there. Two of my adult daughters were enjoying the pool by the carpark, not being especially loud, just laughing and talking. Later that day, a notice I assume aimed at us because the person had gone to the trouble of printing it out only in English appeared, stating, "Please keep quiet!". A few days later, whilst at the pool, a resident of The Priory arrived and was unfriendly, shortly after another resident arrived with a newly printed poster and they discussed it looking over at us. This one said "Only residents permitted to use the pool". We were unsure whether this meant we didn't count as residents or whether they thought we weren't staying there.
