Summary: Old hotel but well maintained. The restaurant on site is amazing, as are Roberto the maitre d’hôtel (sommelier) and the creative bartender. Food is great, presentation sophisticated. The Brie with apple as entree is highly recommended. The 20 meter pool is appealing. I would recommend though that it opens at 6am instead of 9am, so that ppl who love to swim laps such as myself can easily do this before families with kids take over at 9 am. A sink was clogged I flagged it to the staff but in the 4 days of my stay, nobody came to fix it. The beach at lake Ouimet is inviting and lovely to swim in. I had taken a suite with lake view that had a balcony. The balconies are one next to the other. The hotel has put up signs of non smoking as required by law. The biggest downside is that ppl constantly smoked cigarettes and pot on their balconies. I flagged it to the staff who said they would send someone but nothing was done about it. That’s the main reason of my average review score. It’s unfortunate that you have to keep your windows closed and cannot sit on the balcony because of the overwhelming smell.
