Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: Beautiful house with everything you would need for a small family. The surrounding area is peaceful, and the pool area was generally very quiet. Close enough to places like Murcia and Cartagena for a nice city day and plenty of access to beachside resorts such as La Manga and Los Alcazares. About 10/15 minutes drive from La Zenia Boulevard shopping centre, which is great, and there are a bunch of large stores in Torrevieja too. The host and the person who looked after the house in Spain were both lovely and couldn't do enough to help us.
Negative: It's worth noting that you'd be best to have a car, as it is a bit away from. The busy town centre of Torravieja (a good thing in our case, but worth noting) Also, one of the bedrooms has its own entrance upstairs, which can't be accessed directly from inside the house. It is within the compound, but you have to go outside, up to the sun terrace to get there. Great if you are a couple of families or have older kids/ teenagers who are happy with a bit of space, but if you have younger kids who need separate rooms, it might be worth noting.
