Positive: Had a great stay at Kebun Rohani cottages. I particularly loved the big sized room and glass windows and doors to see the view to the ocean and also the terrace. There are a few steps, as other travellers have mentioned, but for me, it wasn't that much of a problem, (I'm 60) indeed I expected worse. The hosts, Jane and Ned are very welcoming and warm. An included breakfast with a few different options was great. Also being able to fill your water jug at any time was a bonus from the water station located at the pool/restaurant area. Tea and coffee and a kettle supplied. My bed was very comfy and had a great night's sleep. The pool, although small, was just enough for me to do some laps, and had it mostly to myself. Lovely pool and restaurant area and a view to the right for sunsets, and also can watch the surf break and surfers. Well located in town with tourist kiosks and bike rentals and restaurants within easy walking distances. Just steps away from the beach, across the road. There is supposed to be some reef there to snorkel at but I didn't get the chance. Was a good place in Senggigi to base yourself for day trips/tours to the waterfalls and other sightseeing locations. I did not hire a scooter as it was raining a bit when I was there and the main road has lots of steep hills and tight curves. Also, there is Cafe Jammin' bar next door as part of the property, to watch live music, every Wednesday and Saturday. Great cosy atmosphere and you can participate in the music with percussion instruments which they supply. Also a fridge at reception where you can take beer on an honesty policy. Would highly recommend this establishment.
