Positive: The apartment is on the first floor of a house that I guess was built originally as a warehouse. There is a shop on the ground floor, but it is very quit like the whole house. You can reach the metro with 5-7 minute-walk, and the center is only 3 stops away. The neigborhood seemed to be quit secure. The host was very kind; he could speak some English and he was very open and flexible with all my requests (for example my check-in and check-out). The apartment is just like in the photos, quit clean and bright, and it is very well equipped (towels, soap, hairdryer, coffee machine with coffee, olive oil, umbrella...). The bed is comfortable.
Negative: There is no air conditioning, which can be a problem on hot summer days because the bed is on the loft. During my days, the weather was not very hot, so with the window open, I could sleep very well (the street is quit calm at night). The water keeps running after you flush the toilet, and you have to adjust the top of the tank to stop it. It would be nice to have this fixed. The fan in the bathroom is constantly running, creating a continuous background noise, which was a bit uncomfortable for me. But when I told the host, he showed me how to switch it off. The ladder to the loft is quit steep, which was not a problem for me, but I could be for people with some mobility difficulties.
Summary: I recomend this as a budget option with good value for money.
