Historic Valley Views | 5BR Retreat w/Hot Tub, Porch, Firepit & Game Room | House in Clarkesville

5 Bedroom House in Clarkesville
There are times when sights or scents evoke powerful memories...of places visited, people met, or childhood memories from long ago. But there are moments when we are transcended into a completely other time and place, and that is the essence of Sautee Valley View. This amazing mountain retreat overlooks the beautiful, historic Sautee Valley, and some of the oldest mountains in the world. The Sautee Valley has long been known for its rich heritage, and beautiful landscapes once inhabited by the Cherokee Indians.
We typically describe a mountain home by its amenities, number of bedrooms, bathrooms, etc. The essentials needed to decide what will work for a family or what won't. Sautee Valley View is one of those rare homes that is the epicenter of such an incredible setting, and so beautiful inside and out... how does one begin to describe it?
Sautee Valley View is a wonderful combination of old and new. Some of the elements of the original home include a vintage rope dinner bell that can be heard from the fishing pond on the property, and throughout the surrounding valley and hills. One can only imagine the wonderful family gatherings and calls to come home before the onset of today's technology. Some of the newer elements include flat screen TVs, wireless internet, a covered porch that spans the entire back of the home, and updated kitchen with glass cooktop stove. The interior of the home includes a large, open floor plan with walls of windows to bring in the gorgeous views and setting at Sautee Valley View. The dining room with fireplace opens to the living area with shelves full of wonderful books, a large flat screen TV and plenty of room to relax. The large open kitchen with bar seating is the perfect spot for everyone to gather. There are two king master suites, both with private baths and private outdoor seating. One master suite has a charming window seat and french doors that open to the covered porch, the other king master has french doors leading out to an open deck. There is also a king bedroom, and a queen bedroom, along with a full bath in the main hallway. The lower level bedroom area has a full bath, pool table and card/activity table - great for card games, puzzles, crafts or any number of fun activities. There is also a flat screen TV and two bunk bed sets for the kids! Step outside to the hot tub, landscaped for privacy and beautiful views of the property.
