Positive: This nautical wonder of a property is nestled in a quiet street near the sea. Its position is a bit like finding chocolate you hid last Christmas then forgot. As a Brit the lack of a kettle was a shock right up until I gave myself a good talking too and remembered I was in America and had no right to demand such trivialities. So I got on with boiling the water in a saucepan and enjoyed the well appointed kitchen, the very comfortable enormous bed and the heating system that warmed the entire house in a few minutes. This place was cleaner than a frogs armpit and tastefully furnished in New England memorabilia. With amble clothes storage and multiple TV channels you could easily forget that the sea is just a short stroll away. I didn’t actually go in the sea you understand as it looked colder than an Eskimos outhouse but the thought was there. So if you’re looking for a little getaway perfectly placed to discover New England in a lovely Massachusetts style town with boutique shops and restaurants then this place is highly recommended. And I’m over the lack of a kettle, honestly.
