Positive: Great rural location on top of the Barranco de Ruiz with views of Teide. Peace and quiet in a lovely old but fully renovated finca. Lovely clean rooms, comfortable beds. The hallway connecting the 3 bedrooms, bathroom and kitchen/livingroom is effectively outside (with plastic covers shielding from the rain), but with temperatures on the island never dropping too low this wasn't an issue for us. The jacuzzi is located in an enclosed party tent in the courtyard and provided a lovely bit of entertainment for ourselves and the kids. The kitchen is fully equipped, incl basic things like pepper, salt, etc for convenience. Check-in and communication with the host was also very easy over Whatsapp. Honestly, a very nice experience and great accommodation providing excellent value for the money. Go for it!
Negative: The biggest thing for us was that the jacuzzi water was a bit green and smelly. Also, the number of electrical sockets in the finca (all rooms) is limited. A few more extension leads with splitters would be helpful. In winter times, we were happy with the heater in the living room. Finally, keep in mind that the slightly remote location means peace and quiet, but also means driving about 10min on a windy mountain road to get back to the motorway every time you want to go somewhere.
