The house is a completely detached, 3 story traditional wine seller’s house; originally built around 1900 and just recently renovated (Winter 17/18) in a way which highlights original features. There is a large living room on the top floor and below that, 3 bedrooms (1 double, 1 double or twin, and 1 twin) as well as a large newly updated bathroom with shower and bathtub. Downstairs is open-plan’ a sunny dining room (for 6-8), a snug seating area with TV and a brand new fully equipped kitchen. The oak frame of the house can still be seen throughout, adding cosiness, character and a sense of history.
At the front of the house there is a South-East facing courtyard with seating – perfect for enjoying the sun for most of the day. At the back is a fully-enclosed garden which is accessed from the kitchen. There is a BBQ and an undercover, sheltered outdoor dining area with views over the green hills and valley opposite. A very private and tranquil spot, it is especially pleasant in the early evening. There are parking spaces on the property to accommodate up to 5 vehicles.
The house is situated off a small road at the edge of a village in the open fields above the river. It is quiet and safe also within easy walking distance of pleasant cycling and walking paths; by the stream or through the forest and hillsides. There are also a couple of local pubs nearby.
The river is a 5-10 minute drive away; the village of Urzig (on the river) is 5km from the house so you can pick up the river cruise boats which take you to the well-known towns of Traben-Trarbach or Bernkastel-Kues (each within 15 km)
Near to the River but away from the business of the traffic and the tourists the house provides the perfect combination of excitement and tranquillity.
