Welcome to Casita de la Luna, a modern straw-bale construction 800 square foot guest house in midtown Tucson. Straw-bale homes are known for their tactile, handmade quality featuring earthen thick walls and rounded corners. The casita is well-equipped and artfully designed. It is truly a beautiful, unique, and special home. Many guests have described their stay as one of kind, spa-like, peaceful, and rejuvenating. With a queen futon sleeper sofa and queen bed, it can accommodate up to 4 travelers. Our neighborhood is located in midtown Tucson. Guests can expect an authentic urban retreat nestled conveniently in the city center. It is a historic neighborhood currently in transition and while many properties have been updated-a few are still in need of TLC. We are directly next door to the Bodhisattva Institute, right off the U of A bike bath. The casita shares the property with a front (main) house of about the same size. Parking is free, gated and private (access from the alley). The entire rear of the property is privately fenced with a sliding back gate for guest house guests.
