Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: Great team working at the front of house who were incredibly helpful. Free cake in the afternoon is a lovely treat. Rooms are clean and big enough. The rooms have great soundproofing against the bustling life on the street outside. Location is great for the “UNESCO home of Fado”, relatively close to the castle, a Pingo Doce supermarket and just a short hill walk down (hills are everywhere in Lisbon!) to the centre. Some great local and cheap restaurants/bars nearby.
Negative: No real criticisms just a couple of pointers: 1. Higher floors are quieter 2. The hotel breakfast looks good but a short walk offers you more options (like Dear Breakfast or even one of the bars nearby) 3. If walking to the castle take the lift located in the Pingo Doce to ease your wearied feet 4. The streets around the hotel are narrow and cobbled…not great for those who struggle to walk or are in a wheelchair. 5. Hotel is outside of the castle zone so you can get an Uber/Bolt from there/to there
