Our property is a house located 6 km from Monteverde. The house is composed of 2 large rooms. One of the rooms measures 30 square meters while the other one goes for 26 square meters. Then you have the rest of the house which contains a living room and kitchen along with a laundry room for a total of 76 meters. The neighborhood is build-up of relatives with a total of 5 houses so it is very quite many of the times unless there is a birthday, graduation or end of the year party.
The house is well in electricity and water. It also has internet and wi-fi all over the house. We also provide you with all the utensils a house must have like t.v. with Netflix and also Spotify if you like music it has furniture such as sofa and 2 couches plus a small dining table for 3 people along with microwave oven and also coffee pot and a skillet for cooking, a fridge and a place where you can wash clothing.

Summary: The husband/wife hosts were so kind, welcoming and helpful. The lodging itself wasn’t exactly to our tastes, but adequate. It had a lot of ‘stuff’ on all the surfaces. Apparently, Monteverde can be quite windy and at night it got very noisy-sounded like maybe roofing lifting and then slamming down. The first time it happened it scared us half to death! We were informed that the hosts had lived in the house for many years. When we inquired where they lived now he said, “We live behind you,” which we thought meant on the street behind. Turns out that they have locked off one of the bedrooms, added an outside entrance and they were staying there. We could hear them and I’m sure they could hear us—it was a little weird. Also, the listing was a bit over-zealous in listing amenities—many of which we never saw. We would not choose to stay here again.
