Summary: An INCREDIBLE time at Canavida. The area is stunning. The team that runs the resort is fabulous. We stayed at Casa Oropendola. The view of the Pacific was INCREDIBLE. As was the wildlife. The whale tail beach (and national park) is just down the hill and it's amazing. Playa Hermosa is also great (and has lifeguards). Loved the local waterfalls too (just a short drive away). I suggest renting a 4x4. It will make the drive easier. Lots of options for groceries at the bottom of the hill. We stayed for 6 nights and could have happily stayed even longer. FYI, Uvita is used to tourists so you can get around with little/no Spanish.
