Travel Purpose: business

Positive: It's very close to the train station and the cheapest you can find in Rome. For a night of layover it's perfectly fine, the neighbourhood is also okay considering it's close to the station. I traveled alone and didn't feel unsafe at all. Just keep in mind it's the train station and use common sense. It's overall more of a home stay to crash at than a hotel or a hostel. Fine for the wary traveler but wouldn't recommend it for longer stays. Otherwise it was quiet and my place was safe with a sturdy front door and room door. Also TV and free water. The internet was decent too.

Negative: The check in is quite weird. The place is run by two young men from Bangladesh who were at the same time dealing with two others guests and seemed to be very amused by my broken Italian. It seemed a bit like they were helping out a friend not like two professionals running a business. Wasn't particularly confidence inducing. They then gave me the room keys in the building next door and that was it. Overall rather strange.
