Summary: Interesting place. Attentive front desk staff; there was a SNAFU w my reservation (charged twice) but they were quick to research and fix it. This is an old renovated building. The hotel halls are not enclosed. We tried tapas and drinks at the restaurant during happy hour and enjoyed the experience. Amusing - my husband ordered a frozen margarita but they don't have a blender so he went for one on the rocks. A bar without a blender! Our suite, with a spacious seating area and a small frig and microwave (which we didn't use for this one night stay), didn't include a coffee maker. There was no coffee in the hotel available until the restaurant opened at 7:30am. Since we had just arrived from the east coast, this felt like a big inconvenience! Also no complimentary bottled water (just the $13/bottle in the room). Turns out the tap water tasted just fine. Plenty of power outlets in the suite overall, but none by my side of the bed. Another minor inconvenience. Our king sized mattress was so squishy my husband had to sleep in the center for fear of rolling off the edge! All in all a nice new venture with well intended staff, but a lot of easy fixes that hadn't been "fixed" yet. Don't think we would return.
