Summary: The Amata Residence is a great place to stay in Phenom Penh, but not a tourist destination in and of itself. Rooms are like a small efficiency apartment with basic kitchen facilities and everything you need to stay for a few days or months. There was nothing to see out the windows except another building. Having said that, there were lots of interesting places nearby and the market was a fascination in and of itself. I walked to the Neakvoan Pagoda, which was beautiful and fascinating. Overall, the room was comfortable, staff were helpful and the location is fine. My weekend stay there was great and I’d happily stay at the Amata Residence again.
