1 Bed in Bude (oc-96283) | Cottage in Kilkhampton

Tucked in a serene pocket of North Cornwall, this is a dream base for couples who want both seaside charm and unhurried days. Visit Kilkhampton (1.5 miles) for an array of pubs, shops and pizza. Take a trip to Sandymouth (3 miles) for beautiful coastal walks. Stroll together along Bude’s curve of Summerleaze Beach (7.5 miles), where the tidal sea pool is perfect for a sheltered swim before spreading out a blanket for a Cornish cream tea (jam first, of course). Crooklets (7.5 miles) offers a lively surf scene and fresh crab sandwiches from the beach café, while the sweep of Widemouth Bay (10.5 miles) invites barefoot walks and rockpool hunting at low tide. Keen walkers and photographers can take the South West Coast Path north for cliff-top views towards Hartland (10 miles) or head south towards Crackington Haven (16 miles) for a more rugged, romantic hike.
Step inside this beautiful stone cottage, which combines a pared-back style with modern features and furnishings, creating a soothing atmosphere after a day on the coast or in the countryside. The charming lounge is a welcoming place to sink into the sofa and unwind together in front of your favourite show on the Smart TV. The large sliding glass doors let plenty of natural light in during the day, while the wood burner makes this a cosy space to unwind during the evenings. The kitchen is modern, fully equipped and ideal for preparing local produce, before lingering over intimate meals around the table for two. When you’re sleepy, the king-size bedroom offers a restful night, thanks to its calming tones that reflect the surrounding seascapes. An en-suite shower room with a shower and WC completes the space with a fresh, contemporary feel.
Outside, the large patio doors open onto your own enclosed garden. Tuck into a sunny breakfast with coffee made from your Nespresso machine or simply bathe in the rays after a day of exploring.
